POSITION SUMMARY

The Procurement Professional is responsible for providing procurement and contract services for the duration of projects. The exact nature of the duties will depend on the phase of particular projects and as the project progresses and will generally be comprised of the concept, study, and execution phase.

The position will provide projects with procurement support preparing tender documents, soliciting quotations, placing purchase orders and expediting equipment, commodities and services as required.

Work is closely managed and reviewed for accuracy and adequacy. Follows specific, outlined, and detailed directions.

Provides resolution to problems that are readily identifiable with limited scope and are resolved in accordance with standard practices, procedures, applications or routines.

Problem/Task resolution timeframe: The majority of tasks typically take one to two days to resolve.

Contacts are primarily with direct supervisors and others in group or department to give and receive information.

Procurement Professional Intern

  • Works closely with a member of the team to enhance knowledge and skillset.
  • Learns and implements the Company's Best Practices for projects and processes.
  • Assist on simple procurement concepts with oversight from a mentor.

Procurement Professional IV
  • Works closely with member of the team and assist to complete projects in a timely manner.
  • Implements and utilizes the Company's Best Practices for projects and processes.
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve procurement and contracts process efficiency.

Procurement Professional III
  • Prepare contract documents.
  • Ensure that client and company inquiries regarding contracts are promptly handled.
  • Provide support and/or conduct review of proposals, negotiation of new contracts, change orders, and renegotiations of existing contracts.

Procurement Professional II
  • Review and monitor procurement documents to ensure that client contract requirements are included ("flow-down") in subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Assist in the establishment of company contract policy and procedures.
  • Prepares requisitions, quotations, terms through supply sources

Procurement Professional I
  • Review contract files for compliance with company policy and procedures and client requirement.
  • Review contract database and prepares periodic reports.
  • Coordinate and administer data collection, retrieval, statistical evaluation, procurement scheduling and departmental reports


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Professional Intern - Education = Junior or Senior in Accredited University

Professional IV - Education = Bachelor's or equivalent

Professional III - Education = Bachelor's or equivalent; Experience = 2 years

Professional II - Education = Bachelor's or equivalent; Experience = 4 years

Professional I - Education = Bachelor's or equivalent; Experience = 6 years
