Production Shift Manager - Stuffed Puffs Filled Marshmallows

Job Details

The Production Shift Manager oversees the production staff and equipment on the production line, ensure that the production goals and quality standards are being met, and implement company policies. This role covers 2nd shift hours. Must be comfortable working middle shift.

Responsibilities:

Ensure daily production schedules are followed according to timing and volume
Verify that all documentation is accurately completed every shift
Ensure all policies and procedures are always enforced and operational
Ability to prioritize tasks and shift staffing to achieve optimum efficiency
Hold the quality and food safety of our product, the safety of our employees, and the smooth operation of our production lines to a world class standard.
Lead shift direction setting and planning meetings with teams
Identify areas of improvement for plant operational efficiencies -opportunities to improve efficiency, methods, equipment, reduce waste, improve time.
Responsible for adhering to all food safety and quality programs to ensure food safety and quality.
Direct, coach, and develop the hourly production team.
Train and mentor lead operators to run their areas of responsibility more efficiently
Foster an on-shift culture that promotes leadership and teamwork.
Set individual/departmental goals in training and development, and performance.
Engage the hourly team for accountability by addressing problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities as they arise.
Build on-shift capability to solve equipment operational issues without the need for escalation
Administer and manage in-house learning and development program for respective shift.

Requirements:

Must be able to stand throughout entire shifts.
Must be able to work weekends as needed
Minimum 3 years of operational/manufacturing leader experience. Food industry experience is preferred.
High School Diploma Required, College Degree Preferred
Experience achieving positive results thru other team members.
Ability to work other shifts when needed
Ability to lift at least 50lbs

Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction
