We are seeking a skilled, and highly motivated Physician Assistant to join our Interventional Pain Management Clinic in Southern Pines, NC. Essential Responsibilities

  • Meet with new patients to orient them about services, to identify needs, and to suggest treatments.
  • See ambulatory patients in the pain management clinic for laboratory testing, examination, diagnosis, and treatment of chronic pain.
  • Write prescriptions and perform office procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and equipment.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans
  • Schedule follow-up visits in office or unit as needed.
  • Perform physical examinations.
  • Prescribe medications and adjust dosages as necessary
  • Provide patient education on pain management techniques and lifestyle modifications
  • Act as a resource person for decisions, planning, and policies affecting the health of patients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Collaborate with staff to identify patients' needs and to help develop plans to meet those needs.

Requirements
  • Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license required
  • 2+ years' experience as a Physician Assistant
  • Familiarity with EHR/EMR programs
  • Experience in pain management or similar field desired, but not required.
  • Excellent written, verbal, organizational and time management skills are a must.
  • Comfortable working with patients who are experiencing chronic pain
