Position is based out of the corporate office in Newbury Park, CA. No remote opportunities
Job Summary:
The Retail Training Specialist (Giant Academy) is responsible for delivering outstanding educational experiences to the Giant Group USA retail distribution network and internal teams. Through online and live classroom sessions, this position supports the development, execution and daily operation of GRA to deliver compelling learning courses to support all Giant Group USA brands.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate logistics for Giant Retail Academy sessions that include calendar management, program supplies, travel planning, document verifications and bicycle fleet use
Work with GPM to evaluate program success and review, update, refresh program tools, guides and resources as necessary
Develop strong partnerships with cross-functional teams including Product, Retail Services, Customer Service, E-Commerce and Sales
Communicate with team members and partners using established tools (Box, PromoBoxx, Active Collab, Brandfolder)
Support on- and off-site GRA sessions as required
Assist GPM with the development and maintenance of learning tools for sales team
Implement a tracking system/tool to measure program achievements and performance
Support Marketing initiatives to deliver retail support including, but not limited to, Grand Opening activities, marketing events and retail marketing coordination
Qualifications:
1 to 3 years experience in related field training/development and/or program management
Knowledge of the cycling industry and technical aspects of a plus
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to develop and foster strong working relationships with management, co-workers and contractor team
Ability to maintain confidential information
Bachelors degree or relevant 3-year experience
Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
Experience working in the retail/fashion industry
Specific requirements:
Travel: approximately 25%
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
