**Scope of the Position:**

Reporting to our Housekeeping Management/Supervisory team, the Public Area Attendant maintains the highest level of cleanliness and safety in all public and back of the house areas. The Public Area Attendant is also responsible for keeping the Spa and Fitness Center neat, clean and stocked with all amenities, equipment, and linens.

* Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards, and correct maintenance and use of equipment.

* Create positive guest relations by anticipating guests needs, responding promptly and always acknowledging guests.

* Be familiar with all hotel services, features and local attractions, and activities, to respond to guest inquiries accurately.

* Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.

* Review assignment sheet and update completed assignments. Check with Supervisor and Housekeeping office for additional assignments throughout the

* Review assigned area and complete general removal of any trash or

* Stock cleaning storages, Fitness Center, and Spa area with designated supplies and

* Maintain cleanliness and organization of all closet spaces throughout the property: remove trash, wipe down shelves/counters, sweep and wax floor, remove non-floor closet items and transport to proper storage

* Clean designated areas with proper chemicals, tools, and

* Ensure that nothing is stored in

* Transport any food and beverage trays/items in public areas to service

* Check under furniture and fitness equipment for debris and remove if present; reposition furniture to correct floor

* Inspect condition of all furniture and Fitness equipment for tears, rips and stains and report damages to Supervisor/Manager. Dust and polish all

* Remove dust and debris from designated areas including but not limited to, all furniture, media, and accessories, and realign furniture to floor plan and replace missing items.

* Remove dust, dirt, and marks from pictures, frames, mirrors, fire extinguisher boxes, exit signs, air vents, windows and ledges, planters and plants, door and door frames, and baseboards.

* Clean all lamps, light fixtures, and light switches; check for proper working condition and polish all surfaces.

* Remove dust on drapes weekly and realign to correct position

* Empty trash containers, ashtrays and ash urns in public areas and remove trash, debris, and cobwebs from balconies and patios.

* Remove soil, dirt, soap build-up and hair from public and employee bathroom mirrors, vanities, sinks, toilets/urinals, shower walls, shower curtains and Replace facial and toilet tissues, paper hand towels, soaps in correct amount and location.

**Skills/Knowledge Required:**

* **Flexible schedule** - Willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

**Physical Requirements:**

* Must be able walk, stand and exert well placed mobility.

* Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch.

* Must be able to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.

* Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.

**Qualification Standards:**

* Education: High school or equivalent preferred.

* Experience: 1 to 2 years previous experience in a similar position in a luxury hotel preferred

* Grooming: All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well-groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided)
