The Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine, and Pain Management at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (UMMSOM) is experiencing a period of expansion and is seeking exceptional candidates for our new Sole Mia location opening Fall 2025.

Essential Job Functions:

Comfortable performing various cases, including orthopedics, GYN, community OB, abdominal, and general vascular cases. NOT required to perform cardiac cases or treat small children (under 2)
Limited skills in regional and the ability to anesthetize older children are helpful
Comfortable supervising trainees and CRNAs
Comfortable performing cases on their own, if required
Call is expected to be 3-4 overnight calls per month (in some situations, call will be from home)
Limited need for evening and weekend calls

Desired Qualifications:

Candidates for this position should have completed a US-approved residency in Anesthesiology or have obtained equivalent training and certification
Board Eligibility or Certification in Anesthesiology is required for this position. (Equivalence to board certification can be determined on a case-by-case basis)
