Role Impact: As the Global Polyurethane Technology Manager, you will orchestrate the technological direction and innovation across global automotive platforms, setting the pace for industry advancements in polyurethane applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Leadership: Guide the Technology & Innovation team across global automotive platforms, focusing on strategic developments and key performance achievements. Initially, this role will have 4 direct reports (two scientists and two technicians).
- Advanced Product Development: Drive the creation and improvement of polyurethane products tailored for automotive uses, emphasizing sustainability and advanced material properties.
- Specialized Expertise: Apply your deep knowledge in areas such as additives, adhesives, coatings, UV and waterborne technologies to elevate product functionality and environmental compliance.
- Collaborative Excellence: Foster strong collaboration within global teams to synchronize strategies and maximize market penetration of new technologies.
Candidate Profile:
- Educational Background: Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or Polymer Science required.
- Professional Experience: 5+ years in polymer product development, with proven leadership in managing technological innovations. Strong background in R&D, technical service, and securing patents.
- Personal Attributes: Visionary leader adept at navigating complex, multi-cultural environments with exceptional communication and team-building skills.
- Additional Requirements: Expertise in polymers, particularly polyurethanes, with a readiness to travel about 25% internationally.
