What will you be doing?- Install electrical control wiring and power wiring in buildings for Refrigeration equipment. The majority of this work involves installing conduit and wire. All work is to be installed in a neat and organized manner.
- Proper use of hands benders and electric benders for larger conduits.
- Instruct apprentices on basic concepts of bending conduit, installing conduit, installing wire, and completing terminations.
- Set up, label, and pull wire for control and power wiring in an efficient manner to avoid any mistakes in labeling.
- Properly terminate valve groups, sensors, and other devices.
- Coordinate materials storage as well as what is required to complete the project with forward-looking considerations to allow for material deliveries prior to production needs.
- Apply power to test completed units.
- Coordinate with other electrical and shop personnel to accomplish project goals within Fabrication schedule and estimated costs.
Requirements
- Be a team player.
- To qualify as a Journeyman, a minimum of 5 years' experience.
- Proper use of hands benders and electric benders for larger conduits.
- All employees must be first and foremost responsible individuals with great attention to safety precautions.
- Must be able to use electrical and hand tools.
- Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders (rooftops included).
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
