Job Details

We are seeking a talented Project Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural design, a keen eye for aesthetics, and the ability to balance functionality with creativity. This role requires collaboration, innovation, and a commitment to delivering exceptional design solutions.


Primary Functions

  • Collaborative design within project teams.
  • Concept development that integrate functional and aesthetic requirements, considering client needs, budget, and program.
  • Develop visual communication and present design ideas using a variety of media and physical materials.
  • Employ BIM technologies to create detailed three-dimensional models.
  • Design review participation in critiques and pin-ups to refine and improve design concepts.
  • Prepare and present design proposals to clients and project teams.
  • Create space planning, block planning, and adjacency diagrams in alignment with building programs.
  • Interpret code compliance and apply building codes and regulatory requirements to ensure compliant designs.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate building systems and materials.
  • Integrate sustainable design principles into building and site development.
  • Site analysis of conditions, including geotechnical, hydrological, environmental, social, and economic factors.
  • Pre-design participation with program development and other pre-design activities.

Education + Experience

  • Accredited master s degree or 5-year bachelor s degree in support of licensure.
  • Proficiency with modeling/drafting software (Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD) and design software (SketchUp, Rhino, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Architectural experience in educational facilities is highly desirable.
