Mozaic Media & Communications, Inc. (Mozaic) is an award winning full-service, strategic communications consulting firm with an emphasis on social impact. We are searching for an Account Director to work from either our Downtown Los Angeles or Downtown Sacramento office, on a hybrid work schedule. Requirements

  • Minimum 5-6 years of agency experience or in house in a communications/public affairs capacity - (State Capitol/State Legislative experience or in house PR agency experience (preferred))
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree from an accredited University (preferably in the area of Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Public Policy or related subject areas)
  • Bilingual preferred but not required
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Graphic design skills a plus, but not required
  • Self-driven with a willingness to not only meet, but exceed expectations
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Fluency in social media
  • Grasp of current events and news cycles
  • Ability to appropriately and professionally interact with clients
  • Computer literate + knowledge of design programs such as PhotoShop or InDesign (preferred)



Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day management/oversight of Mozaic s clients under the direction of senior leadership
  • Contribute to Mozaic's overall strategy and planning sessions
  • Create collateral material (press releases, media kits, op-ed s, speeches and related)
  • Create and/or execute social media and public relations strategies on multiple platforms
  • Secure national, local earned media placements; actively pitch media about client news by conducting media outreach, research and follow up
  • Be able to identify trade reporters, business reporters and bloggers. Proactively consume media outlets that are relevant to client business
  • Monitor media outlets for coverage of client news and competitor developments, flag for appropriate team members
  • Support senior staff on proposal writing (knowledge of state and local RFP processes preferred, but not required)
  • Staff meetings, both in-person (where applicable) and virtually
  • Occasional on-site event duties & daily administrative duties as assigned
