**Menu Development Lead**
Springville, Utah, United States Full Time
**Position Overview**
Create joyful and purposeful menus for Hobble Creek Downtown
**This role will accomplish the following:**
**First 6 months**
* Become familiar and comfortable in the vision of Hobble Creek Downtown, culinary programs, and strategies
* Develop strong relationships with the downtown team
* Learn our current food production workflow and strategies
* Enthusiastically participate in personal development and onboarding training
* Work collaboratively to develop innovative menus that explore exciting new culinary methods (Koji, lacto-fermentation, heirloom produce)
* Gain traction on the current development projects
* Work collaboratively to ensure all culinary teams can execute meals with integrity
* Establish our video recipe format and process. Take ownership over this aspect of Menu Development
* Maintain the essence and life of the style guides
**6 Months to 1 Year**
* Help make our processes and programs successful in the Jupiter Building
* Understand and develop the experiences we are providing through our menus
* Establish menu development teams to cover the ongoing menu development needs for each of the eateries
* Continue to cultivate and reinforce the identities of each of the eateries
* Bring the vision for the eateries in the Wavetronix building to life
* Work with marketing to create visual menus ahead of opening day
**Beyond Year 1**
* Be prepared to take a supportive leadership role on the team to help establish the why
* Assist in creating a vision for the future of food on campus
* Establish a strong Ingredient Development program
* Work towards establishing self-sustaining menu development teams
* Find and push the cutting edge of the culinary world
* Establish Rocky Mountain cuisine in the culinary world
**Working Conditions**
* Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
* This role could require travel from time to time.
* Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
* Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
