Description

Eastern Sports Management is currently accepting applications for Maintenance Assistant at the Titan Sports & Performance Center. The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for various projects related to the maintenance and upkeep of the Titan Sports and Performance Center/Mohawk including the physical infrastructure and the developed land/grounds. The Maintenance Assistant is directly supervised by and reports to the District Facilities Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • General Maintenance of the infrastructure including buildings, small equipment, fences, sports equipment, etc.
  • Assist the events team with events set up as needed.
  • Assist the facilities cleaning crew as needed
  • Perform task such as mowing, string-trimming and brush hogging as needed
  • Maintain and repair all parking areas and pathways in public and non-public areas.
  • Perform other assigned task related to this position


Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Must possess applicable degrees, certifications, and/or related experience
  • Must be familiar with a windows-based workstation; experience with Google Suite is preferred
  • Landscape management knowledge and/or experience is required
  • Irrigation experience is preferred
  • Small power equipment operation and maintenance experience preferred
  • Handiwork trade tools and equipment experience preferred
  • Team focused attitude with the ability to follow directions and work independently as needed is required
  • Friendly, positive and helpful personality
  • Willingness to take initiative and have a passion for the job
  • Must be motivated, self-driven, detailed oriented, and have a can-do attitude.

  • Color Perception: Normal color perception is required (HAZMAT labeling, fluid identification, etc.)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The maintenance assistant works in a wide variety of temperature and humidity situations including controlled indoor environments, exposure to year-round ambient outdoor weather conditions, artificial heat (kitchens), and cold (refrigerators/freezers) is required. The work environment may include uneven, unpaved terrain. The work environment can require the use of PPE as required by SDS or generally accepted maintenance practices (eye/hearing protection, etc.).
