Looking for multiple TIG welders to perform titanium and nickel alloy welding. Manual experience is a must, automatic experience is a plus.Job Type: Full-timeNumber of hires for this role: 2 (one on day shift; one on night shift)Need: ImmediateQualifications:High school or GED required; Technical school a plusResponsibilities include but not limited to:Ability to pass TIG welding assessment and become certified on required alloy/joint combinations.Set-up and layout jobs using CAD drawings, diagrams and fixtures following ASME and NAVSEA specificationsTIG weld in all positions including use of rotary turntables/positionersTranslate verbal and written instruction to produce products in accordance with production needs by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.Precleaning of weld are using acetone, grinding discs, flapper wheel etc.Set up and maintain argon purgeTack welding, fabrication of shop fixtures to assist fabrication & weldingMaintain work areas in a clean, orderly and safe mannerPerform preventative maintenance tasks of weld equipmentThe employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
