**Position description**

Mayo Clinic seeks a Health Care Delivery Researcher with a PhD in a field relevant to health services research (e.g. health services research, health economics, biostatistics, data science, implementation and evaluation), or an M.D. with additional training or experience in one or more of these areas for a faculty position with significant and sustained institutional funding.

This position is based in Mayo Clinics . Together with their clinical colleagues and analytic support staff, Kern Center scientists both identify and solve complex care problems and challenges for patients, providers and the health care system at large. The Kern Center aims to translate discoveries into evidence- based, actionable treatments, processes and procedures in short, to transform the practice of medicine.

QUALIFICATIONS: The Health Care Delivery Researcher is expected to possess a broad understanding of one or more of the following areas:

* Comparative effectiveness research

* Patient-centered outcomes research

* Implementation science

* Performance and quality measurement

* Qualitative or mixed-methods research

* Knowledge translation (including shared decision making)

The candidate will also have strong methodological skills in experimental and observational designs, intervention research, survey methodology, qualitative methods, or statistical analysis. The ability to develop, implement and promote research activities affecting patient care and involving multiple stakeholders in a rapidly growing and changing environment is required. Specific experience and national recognition as an expert in the delivery of healthcare research, and national recognition as an expert preferred. The candidate must possess experience directing research projects, collaborating with others in a multidisciplinary setting, and a strong publication record. Academic appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
