SUMMARY
The Stockroom Clerk receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse & departments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist shipping and receiving with unloading trucks.
- Able to receive materials physically.
- Use Lot Numbers for all in and out transactions.
- Read work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
- Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, lot numbers and color or product code.
- File requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute items to designated area or personnel.
- Assemble orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
- Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
- Open boxes, crates and other containers.
- Assist in counting of physical inventory.
- Count product/material for distribution within facility to ensure conformance to company standards.
- Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
- Keep ALL areas of the stockroom well kept, clean and organized.
- Always organize warehouse and work area (Stockroom) for orderliness, ensuring warehouse is always accessible and safe.
- Must able to operate a forklift sit down (company will certified if needed).
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintains and protects the confidentiality of the Company's information and products.
- All other stockroom or warehouse duties/responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS - Experience with Inventory
- Demonstrates proficiency in written / verbal communication skill.
- Ability to prioritize workload.
- Ability to receive material physically.
- Good computer skills
- Able to lift up to 50lbs.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE - High School Diploma required or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Inventory.
- Minimum of 3 years significant experience in an Aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Have Knowledge of ISO and Aerospace Standards
COMMUNICATION SKILLS - Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Effective interpersonal skills
REASONING ABILITY - Ability to interpret a variety of instructions (written and oral).
- Critical Thinking skills required.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES - Demonstrate ability to work well under pressure with a proactive approach to unusual occurrences.
- Methods of practices of storing, handling, and shipping supplies and equipment, safety, and security practices.
- Proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, and the Internet.
- Must be able to work independently and take initiative.
- The ability to operate a forklift (must be certified).
- Requires good organizational and leadership skills, attention to detail and openness to new ideas and procedures.
Work Hours: Monday to Thursday; 6am-4:30pm
