**Security Officer**

**Meet the team:**
The Security Officer at Argo AI will work to maintain daily security programs that create a safe work environment for all Argo AI personnel, information, and property; all while contributing to and protecting the company culture we all are so proud of. This role will be responsible for managing physical and personnel security operations in our Miami Command Center. This role will work closely with the Physical Security and Facilities teams to ensure safety protocols and standards are consistently met throughout our office. This individual will be an ambassador of Argo AIs culture and values when working with all employees and guests!
**What youll do:**
* Ensure that the facility is provided with high-quality security services to protect people and property
* Enforce stringent and vigilant Access Control procedures
* Conduct patrols as required of facilities to ensure a safe and secure environment
* Communicate effectively with the security and safety teams across the company to assure business continuity
* Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with both employees and guests
* Monitor closed circuit television systems and alarms
* Remain flexible to ever changing environment; adapt well to different situations
* Report safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing
* Handle security issues or emergency situations appropriately. Contact Police, Emergency Services, such as EMTs, Fire Dept., etc.
* Fully embrace security/safety training programs to enhance your ability to advance in your career
* Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs to offer our employees and visitors the best trained officers at their sites
* Maintain awareness of and familiarity with the site-specific operations performance manual and post orders
Physical Functions
* Constant mental alertness and attention to detail required while setting priorities and following up on assignments
* Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
* Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties
* Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
* Work in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain or heat
**What you'll need to succeed:**
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* At least 7 years of verifiable prior security, law enforcement or military experience, 10 years preferred
* Current Pennsylvania PA Act 235 or PA Act 120 Certification & Current CA Bureau of Security & Investigations Certification for Armed Security Officer
* Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
* Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting; computer skills required
* Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions
* Must be able to obtain a valid Guard License as required in the region for which you are applying
* As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test
* As a condition of continued employment, employee must maintain current active status of all required License at all times, and must carry the license at all times while on duty
* Must display exceptional customer service and communication skills
* Intermediate computer skills to utilize innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
* Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standard
* Neat and professional appearance
* Ability to provide consistent exceptional quality customer service
* Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
* Read, understand and clearly speak English; constantly use speech and hearing (correctable to normal level required) in communicating with public/co-workers, giving and receiving instructions, using phones
* Must be able to handle pressure of working with high volume general public (constantly to occasionally depending on assignment)
