Benefits Assistant


Job Details

SNI Companies is working with a Business Services company located in Middlesex County, NJ who is seeking a Benefits Assistant. The Benefits Assistant will join the benefits team and assist with setting up their client's employees for benefits and answer any questions. This role is 100% person working on site.

Responsibilities:

  • Will work in a fast paced, high-volume environment helping to support 300+ clients and their employees.
  • Assisting employees with various benefit programs (20 different services offered).
  • Prepare and compile employee and client benefit reports from the HRIS system.
  • Assist with Open Enrollment processes and if any changes need to be made throughout the year.
  • Maintain and organize shared electronic benefits files and databases.
  • Assist team members as needed by providing additional support on special projects, as needed.
  • Review daily reports for enrollments, updates, and changes to employee accounts.
  • Support employees with enrolling, making benefit changes, and assist with uploading rate changes on the third-party portal.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in benefits support or related HR functions.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Excel and intermediate skill level in MS Word.
  • Experience in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment.
  • Ability to handle high levels of task completion and demands.
  • Proven ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
  • Ability to work extended hours if business needs dictate.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
