Account Management Specialist


Job Details

ASSYST is seeking a dynamic and motivated Account Management Specialist to join our team in Sterling, VA. The Account Management Specialist will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with our state and local government clients, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving business growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Grow ASSYST s business in new and existing accounts, and build strong client relationships and satisfaction to ensure repeat business
  • Execute prospecting strategies for discovering new opportunities
  • Be proactive, persistent, and eager to learn new technology and processes
  • Communicate with all levels to seek new business
  • Collaborate and influence internal and external shareholders
  • Articulate our values, products, and services
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within state and local government agencies.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services to existing clients.
  • Work with the business development team to develop and execute joint business development/marketing activities that promote company solutions and create incremental opportunities
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking activities to promote company services and build relationships with potential clients.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of successful sales and/or marketing experience in the IT Services Industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to use productivity and collaboration tools such as Salesforce CRM, Google Workspace, Office 365
  • Knowledge of state and local government procurement processes and regulations is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be legally able to work in the USA
