Stags Leap Wine Cellars is a luxury wine estate that is proud to call Napa Valley our home. We are best known for producing the Cabernet Sauvignon that beat the best of Bordeaux in the 1976 Judgment of Paris. Today, we specialize in Cabernet Sauvignon but also produce Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay and several wines that are only available direct to consumer. Our wines are a force for gatherings and conversations to serve the well-being of our consumers, our communities, and our land. This approach has resulted in our ability to offer consumers outstanding and distinctive wines from one of the best regions in world.

We are currently looking for a Hourly **Full-Time** **Chef** to join our culinary team at **Stag's Leap Wine Cellars**. This role will assist the Executive Chef in all aspects of property related culinary production.

****$500 (net) sign-on bonus****

**What you will do:**

* Help in the preparation and execution of all daily culinary events and reservations.

* Assist when needed with presentation of culinary experiences.

* Be able to produce high quality dishes and plates, in both design and taste (at times without assistance) according to Executive Chef Instructions, in a timely manner and that meet designated quality standards. This may occur in our open kitchen where one is in a direct line of sight to guests.

* Assist Executive Chef with ordering, quality control, and inventory of all food products.

* Responsible in helping keep kitchen clean and organized at all times, as well maintaining health, safety, and sanitation standards set forth by the property Safety Service Specialist, the Executive Chef, as well as the County Health Department. This includes, at times, cleaning of kitchen, equipment, and wares on ones own.

* Resourcefully resolve any issues that may arise when Executive Chef is not present, along with training or managing any other staff during events.

* Maintain a positive, pleasant, and professional approach when interacting with coworkers and guests.

* Travel to other local tasting rooms in Napa and Sonoma to transport product and facilitate food pairings.

* Other duties as assigned.

**What you will bring:**

Must be able to meet the following requirements:

* Scheduling Requirements:

+ Must be able to work various days of the week, including primarily weekends and holidays

+ Able to work 15 - 30 hours per week

* Physical Requirements:

+ Consistently able to lift and move 40 lbs. utilizing proper lifting techniques.

+ Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required

* Minimum 2 years High end Restaurant and/or Catering experience, preferably in a supervisorial role

* Cleaning, food sanitation and prep skills required

* Ability to work in a kitchen under limited supervision

* Shifts will vary and include days, evenings and weekends - must be flexible

* Food Handlers card required

* History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.
