Specialists should be available 4 days a week between 6am-10pm and every other weekend for scheduling purposes. Meridian Services was established in 1980 in St. Cloud. We are now based out of Golden Valley, Minnesota. Above all, we will uphold a tradition of service and caring for others. **Job Summary:** As a Specialist, you will support our people served with daily activities that include working on outcomes designed for each person served at a variety of residential group homes. Outcomes are designed to increase independent in skills. These may include learning more about community resources, finding hobbies, working on personal cares and meal preparations/planning or budgeting. We tailor our services to each person and their needs and wishes. Additionally, as a Specialist, the position entails medication administration, cooking, cleaning, and personal cares for persons served. As a Specialist, you will need to be comfortable with driving to various locations throughout the Twin Cities area, including Maple Lake and Cottage Grove, MN. Specialists are cross-trained at numerous homes and must be able to work with a wide variety of persons with intellectual disabilities, autism, medical needs, assist with personal cares (i.e. showering/bathing/changes), and mental health diagnosis. **Requirements:** * To be at least 18 years of age. Some programs may require staff to be at least 21 years of age due to DHS Child Foster Care Licensing. * Have a vehicle with current car insurance * Have an acceptable driving record as determined by Meridian Services policy. * Successful clearance from a DHS background Study * Experience working with challenging behaviors, autism, and/or mental health is preferred * Ability to work with persons on personal cares *Meridian Services hires people from a wide variety of backgrounds because we believe it makes our organization stronger.
