**About you:**
To support our growth were looking for an **Assistant Cafe Manager** to join our awesome team!
The Assistant Cafe Manager for Food+ is responsible for assisting the Cafe Manager on the overall success of the Cafe. This means adhering to the Clients culture and guidelines, the Health Departments regulations, and Compass standards and expectations of food quality, freshness and presentation.
This position assists the Cafe Manager for managing the daily operations of the cafe, including selection, development, and performance management of employees. This position also motivates and directs all employees to accomplish the objectives of the operation to the satisfaction of the customers, and maintains a working relation with the Client.

* Youll set an expectation of hospitality that is friendly and that truly engages our guests
* You will upskill, train and develop your team
* Monitor and manage all financial & budget responsibilities whilst making sure our standards are always the best
* Meets all timelines for payroll, service, accounts receivables, human resources, corporate office and all other timelines given by Client and management
* Youll create a culture of Food and Workplace Safety & ensure that all operations meet the highest standards
* Attends monthly safety meetings and participates in safety inspections.
* Operate Web based ordering systems, process customer requests, changes to orders, menu updates and client profiles
**What we look for in the perfect candidate:**
* Minimum of 1 years of applicable experience in a like volume and quality food service establishment
* Possess general hospitality knowledge and interest in sustainability and sustainable food practices
* Wed love a bachelor's degree but if not equivalent professional experience
* Excellent communication skills - written & verbal
* Youll have a proven track record of leadership with great culinary knowledge
* Restaurant, hotel & events experience is definitely a plus!
