***Procurement Specialist - Indianapolis***
Up to 100K Base + 7% Bonus.
COGS are assisting a private equity firm with holdings of 20 billion dollars, having acquired a wide range of energy infrastructure investments over the last 20 years, including but not limited to: Fossil Fuels (Natural Gas & Coal) & Renewable Energy (Solar & Hydropower) power plants.
Due to upward career movement in the procurement function (which is common due to the growth of the business), they are seeking to bring on a driven and ambitious Procurement Specialist to join their expanding Procurement and supply chain function.
The responsibilities of this role include operational purchasing for a few of their midwest based power plants with categories including but not limited to: (MRO, Spare Parts, Facilities, fluids, Raw materials etc...) - (30M Spend).
This role requires working with several suppliers and contractors to ensure site maintenance, the upkeep of the power plant infrastructure and leveraging existing relationships to ensure smooth running of the business operation.
We are looking for a professional who has:
- The ability to match suppliers with internal requirements
- An eye for detail and a technical/heavy industry background
- Enjoys sourcing technical categories
- Strong stakeholder management & influencing skills
- Experience with industry leading supply chain processes
- Strong negotiation experience
- Is happy within a heavy industry environment
