Monday--Friday, Day shift, 40 hours per week or possibility of part-time available
Brook Lane Health Services is seeking a Maryland-licensed Social Worker or Professional Counselor to provide part-time counseling services for the C&A and Adult Partial Hospitalization Programs in Hagerstown, with rare coverage in Frederick.
Our Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) offer intensive, psychotherapeutic treatment in a less restrictive setting than inpatient care. Brook Lane offers this day treatment program on the main campus and in Frederick. PHP allows a patient to attend a short-term structured therapeutic program during the day and return home in the evening. The average stay is one to two weeks. Individuals appropriate for PHP include those who may have one or more of the following symptoms:
- At risk of non-suicidal/serious injury to themselves or thoughts of violence toward others
- Withdrawal from school and/or social activities
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Suffering effects of psychiatric disorders
Upon admission to the PHP, individuals receive a thorough assessment of their psychiatric and behavioral needs. Personalized treatment plans may include individual, group, and family therapy as well as medication management. Our multi-disciplinary treatment team meets routinely to review and modify the treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities:- Complete assessments on clients
- Work as a therapist in the program providing individual and group therapies
- Consult and communicate with treatment team members and other providers regarding client care plans
- Communicate with parent/ guardians
- Documentation of all services in compliance with organization policies
Qualifications:- Maryland LCSW-C, LMSW or LGPC license required
- 1 years exp. providing individual and group therapy with children and adolescent population
- Ability to learn electronic medical record and other software quickly
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
