Job SummaryThe Kentucky Nurse Aide Training Coordinator, a 12-month faculty position, will provide leadership support and services for the regional Nurse Aide (MNA/KMA) programs. The KNAT Coordinator will be the point person providing regional support and oversight of MNA/KMA programs, courses, instructors, and testing to long-term care facilities, schools, instructors, and students. The KNAT Coordinator will enforce, ensure, and monitor compliance of all federal and state regulations/guidelines working at the local and system level.
Job Duties:Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Enforces, ensures, and monitors compliance of all federal and state regulations/guidelines (including KCTCS Business Procedure 7.9, CHFS confidentiality agreement, and KCTCS Administrative Policies and Procedures) pertaining to the Medicaid Nurse Aide/MNA and Kentucky Medication Aide/KMA programs.
Provides regional management and oversight of MNA/KMA programs, courses, instructors, and testing including advisory committee and regional webpages (record keeping, scheduling, management of MOA's, reporting, lab maintenance, serve on committees).
Teaches/oversees instruction of MNA/KMA courses (class schedules, recruitment, training and evaluation of instructors)
Schedule/teaches/oversees MOI and MOI Train-the-Trainer course to qualified nurses in the area.
Develops, maintains, and fosters relationships, provides accessible training and testing, communicate with, and serves as a resource to long-term care facilities, secondary partners, nurse aides, nurse aide instructors in area with questions concerning the Medicaid Nurse Aide and Kentucky Medication Aide programs.
Minimum Qualifications:Must be a registered nurse with a minimum of two (2) years RN experience, at least one (1) of which shall be in the provision of long-term care facility services as defined by 907 KAR 1.450.
