Ideal Candidate


  • Experience with HVAC or Sheet Metal Design
  • Experience with Solidworks
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferred)
  • 3+ years industry experience


Job Summary


As a Mechanical Designer, each team member is responsible for designing and drafting mechanical structures and components, while also producing details and standards as required.

Position Responsibilities:


  • Develop assembly models and detail drawings using various CAD tools.
  • Assist with testing products and designs.
  • Analyzes systems using a variety of engineering tools including, but not limited to FEA, analytical formulas, benchmark designs, etc.
  • Uses DFMEA, PFMEA, and DFMA tools to improve the end quality and reliability of the design.
  • Works with operations to design solutions that are integrated into the current manufacturing capabilities.
  • Develops advanced designs in conjunction with operations to produce high quality designs that are value based.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Proficient with Autocad and Autodesk Inventor [preferred] or Solidworks.
  • Sheet metal design experience a plus.
  • Strong mechanical background.
  • Self-starter and must be able to work cross-functionally.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Programs).

Position Qualifications:


  • Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • 3+ years of engineering work experience, HVAC highly preferred.
  • Experience with ERP, SAP, or Syteline preferred
