We are seeking full-time/part-time compassionate Line Cook who is interested in making a difference in the lives of seniors for our Blossom Ridge community.
The following job functions are just a few that are critical to your success in this role:
-Maintain knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen environment.
-Clean and prepare various foods for cooking or serving as directed by our Chef and other team members.
-Ability to identify all different types of foods from meats and seafood to produce and grocery items. Also know where they belong and how to properly rotate these items.
-Demonstrate a willingness to learn our food and recipes as we want them prepared.
-Understand correct cooking times and temperatures.
-Demonstrate working knowledge of allergies and cross contamination.
-Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
-Adhere to established safety precautions, including fire safety, when performing tasks, using equipment and supplies.
Any candidates that are selected for an interview must be prepared to demonstrate cooking skills.
-A minimum of two years line cook experience is required.
-Previous experience preferred in Senior Living including but not limited to IL, AL, Memory Care, Long-term Care or Home Health.
-Flexibility to adapt to ongoing change and work in a fast paced, customer service driven environment.
-Exhibit a sincere desire to work with the senior population.
-Exhibit outstanding customer service skills and contribute to a friendly and dynamic atmosphere.
