Job Title: Shipping Associate

Reports to: Production Manager

Summary: The position is responsible for ensuring the accurate management, inspection, and shipment of inventory, while maintaining quality standards and optimizing efficiency through precise measurements, attention to detail, and effective organizational and time management skills.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks related to the management and maintenance of inventory, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the process.

Overview of Job Duties: Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure functionality and safety standards are met. Coordinate shipping activities using FedEx and UPS, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods. Update and maintain records of finished goods using QuickBooks and various inventory spreadsheets. Manage quality certifications and uphold quality standards throughout the inventory process. Utilize calipers and micrometers to accurately measure products and materials. Ability to lift 50 pounds or more as necessary for inventory handling and organization. Perform thorough inspection of products and packaging to ensure quality and compliance with standards and demonstrating meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of inventory control and inspection. Organize inventory items efficiently to optimize storage space and accessibility. Manage time effectively and demonstrate self-starting initiative in completing tasks. Willingness to undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management. Anything else management deems to be necessary.

Performance Measures: Maintain a log of equipment inspections with a focus on identifying and promptly addressing any issues to minimize downtime. Monitor on-time delivery rates and accuracy of shipping documentation, striving to meet on-time delivery goals. Maintain inventory accuracy levels through regular cycle counts and reconciliation processes. Maintain accuracy in product measurements as verified through periodic audits. Receive positive feedback from quality control audits and minimize errors in inventory/inspection documentation. Safely handle heavy items without incidents or injuries, following proper lifting techniques. Identify and address quality issues proactively. Implement storage solutions that improve efficiency and reduce retrieval times by 15%. Meet or exceed deadlines consistently, with a focus on proactive task prioritization. Successfully handle changing priorities and tasks, maintaining productivity levels during peak periods.

Qualifications: Legally able to be employed in the United States Familiar with Business-to-Business Industrial Shipping Process Good driving record Must pass pre-employment drug screening Understand and able to use Microsoft word, Excel and QuickBooks Must speak and understand the English language
