Job Title: Farm Manager

The Farm Manager oversees the maintenance of systems and equipment at the Company s multiple farming and post-harvest processing facilities, ensures daily care for cannabis plants from seed to harvest and facilitates transportation of planting stock from nursery to field as well as harvested produce from field to post-harvest center. During the cultivation season, the Farm Manager will lead the Cultivation team to provide quality care and attention to the growing process of the crop, including planting, pruning, irrigating, pest and pathogen monitoring, foliar spray application and equipment and facility maintenance. The Farm Manager maintains a continuous adherence to the Company s operating procedures and compliance with the State regulations in everything they do. Strong communication skills are essential in the position, both with English-only and Spanish-only speaking team members.

Location: Prescott, Michigan

Responsibilities:

  • Organizing and overseeing crop production activities, including ground prep, planting, pruning and irrigating, pest, pathogen and fertility monitoring, foliar spray application and equipment and facility maintenance
  • Providing nutrients to the plants in strict accordance with cultivation protocols set forth by Senior Management
  • Careful monitoring of the plants for any signs of potential issues, as well as treatment for pest or pathogens if they do occur
  • Adhering to State track and trace requirements as directed by the Company
  • Leading planting and harvest push crews and assisting with transport to Company s nursery and post-harvest facilities
  • Keeping farms clean and tidy
  • Organizing and facilitating light deprivation activities
  • Continuously communicating with Senior Management and utilizing Company communication platforms in real time
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience & Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills are essential for this position
  • At least 3 years experience in team leadership and direct people management
  • Strong work ethic and reliability are essential for this position
  • Willingness to be flexible and do what is necessary to get the job done is essential for this position
  • Willingness to work long hours during peak harvest and planting seasons is essential for this position
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs is highly desirable
  • Mechanical and construction experience is highly desirable
  • Experience operating heavy machinery, truck and trailer, and heavy duty trucks is highly desirable
  • Commercial crop production experience is highly desirable, cannabis or otherwise
  • Ability to use modern app-based computer and smartphone programs is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with Google Suite and Slack is preferred
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
  • Must have reliable transportation to farms located on dirt roads
  • A relatively clean driving record is needed to operate company vehicles
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: $75,000 annually
  • Health insurance (75% covered by the employer), dental, and vision insurance
  • 2 weeks paid vacation

  • Relocation assistance subject to discussion

Work Environment and Schedule: The position demands flexibility and availability for extended hours during the growing season, transitioning to a focus on planning and maintenance during the off-season.
