Onsite - Day Shift

Purpose of Role: Under general supervision, perform work in the design, installation, construction, modification, repair and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems. The tech will also be required to do some repair, preventive maintenance and installation of equipment in the mechanical field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains electrical distribution systems including electric motors, electric controls, fire alarms, clock systems, and is proficient in ladder logic and PLC
  • Electrical Code: Monitors work done by outside contractors for adherence to National Electrical Code Requirements
  • New Equipment: Installs, troubleshoots and repairs new equipment and systems, including facility lights and programmable controls
  • System Testing: Ensures facility fire alarms and emergency electrical systems are operational; performs certification testing on alarm systems
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.


Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting, with experience in Electrical Trades
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, layout plans and equipment instructions
  • Proven knowledge of National Electrical Code guidelines
