Inventory Specialist
Production Job Type Full-time Description **Function:** Performs various operations functions related to inventory controls.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
1. Performs operational functions to guarantee the effective operation of the production and shipping departments by:
* Ensuring that schedules and operating policies and procedures are followed.
* Working with production crops to ensure timely, consistent inventory reporting is achieved.
* Updates production crop status in SAP and to the Head Grower and Supply Chain Operations Manager.
* Assists with communication to the Sales team on crop status.
2. Ensures consistency of the quality of shipped product.
3. Pulls and loads outgoing shipments.
4. Regularly cycle counts production crop.
5. Assists with physical inventory.
6. Accurately completes Production paperwork including department work orders.
7. Proficient in shipping report functions;
* Creates pull sheets and packs orders
* Fulfills Fed-Ex requirements, communicates with Fed Ex as needed.
8. Any and all other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements A high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to perform basic math skills: adding, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Must have basic computer skills and knowledge.
Sight Must be able to recognize, observe, inspect and assess inventory.
Environment - Outside work, which includes work in the greenhouse and in the fields. While performing outside duties, the employee may be exposed to temperature extremes, humidity, and to toxic material, as well as various weather conditions, such as wind and rain.
Physical Demands - Outside Greenhouse & Fields
While performing outside work, the employee is required to continually stand and to frequently walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or tools or controls. Occasionally the employee is required to reach with hands and arms. On an intermittent basis the employee is required to sit, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear and smell. The employee must have the ability to frequently lift to 25 pounds and to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Must have the ability to communicate when allocating work and assisting with training of personnel.
Schedule M-F, 7:30am 3:30am (in and out times my vary pending on weather conditions)
