Job Details

Food and Beverage **Job Purpose:**

Understand and operate computerized cash registers. Count daily receipts and fill out required paperwork at the end of each shift and turn in to Supervisor. To take food and beverage orders from customer and correctly place order for cooks to prepare. Communicate effectively with customers to ensure needs or special requests are met and everyone is having an enjoyable experience. May be required to clear tables for guests and assist with other F&B duties. Ensure dining area, countertops and work area is clean and presentable. Ability to interact professionally with all guests. May be asked to assist in snow removal of decks, walkways and other areas that may need to be accessed.

**Essential Functions:**

* Complies with all policies and procedures in Food and Beverage

* Complies with all F&B, health, liquor and safety regulations, as well as, all federal, state and local applicable laws.

* Works 8-10 or more hours per day, often for 6 consecutive days during Winter season, November through April

* Frequently requires standing and walking

* Regular use of hands and fingers, handling or feeling objects. Reaching with hands and arms.

* Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 40 lbs.; more with assistance

* Occasional stooping, bending at neck and waist.

* Speak and hear clearly

* Specific vision requirements include: close, distant, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus .

**Experience/Training/Education:**

**Required:**

* Experience as a cashier in a fast paced environment

* Must possess a current California Food Handler's Card

* Must be 18 years of age or older

* May be required to pass a basic math skills test

* May be required to pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical

**Knowledge/skills/abilities:**

Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, as well as order tickets. Possess the ability to print neatly and clearly. Follow directions and become familiar with menu, recipes and other specific items that may require memorization. Ability to become efficient on a cash register and ability to make proper change; familiar with POS systems and credit card identity procedures.

**Physical and Environmental Elements:**

The property which this position is held is performed both in and out of doors, is located in the mountains and is subject to potentially extreme temperatures and snowy conditions: The temperature outside can range anywhere from below 0 to well above 80 degrees Fahrenheit, with high winds, snow, rain and/or sunny conditions. Requires walking on uneven and potentially slippery surfaces.
