The Role:
We are seeing a Project Developer to contribute to the development of large-scale renewable energy projects. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact with landowners and will work collaboratively with the development team to bring new development opportunities to fruition.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the development team and third-party consultants to identify land suitable for solar development.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and landowners.
- Conduct and facilitate lease negotiations with landowners and companies to acquire land rights to develop a project.
- Explain our project to the landowners effectively by setting reasonable expectations, realistic timing, and clear financial arrangements. A strong candidate will demonstrate drive and initiative, curiosity, and transparency throughout their engagement with landowners.
- Assist the team with the development process, including coordinating sub-consultants, obtaining preliminary title reports, supporting land use permit applications, and tracking various policy initiatives or regulations.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Degree in finance, business, or a related field
- Ability to work in a startup
- 3-5 years of renewable development
- Experience working on 3-5MW projects
