Job Title: Booking/General Manager - Music/Event Venue

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team at our vibrant music and event venue Swanson s Warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inquiries, coordinating bookings, and ensuring the smooth operation of events. They should possess excellent organizational skills, a passion for music and event coordination, and the ability to foster positive relationships with clients and performers alike.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to email inquiries promptly and professionally, providing comprehensive information about venue availability, pricing, and booking procedures.
Gather information on local and non-local bands and performers, curate a diverse lineup of talent, and present recommendations for approval by management.
Oversee the booking process from initial contact to contract finalization, ensuring all details are accurately documented and communicated to relevant parties.
Demonstrate a strong aptitude for organization by maintaining an up-to-date calendar of events, managing bookings, and coordinating logistics for performances and private functions.
Take initiative in completing tasks efficiently and effectively, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.
Utilize technology skills to edit our Square website platform, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is presented to potential clients and customers.
Create eye-catching digital posters using Canva or similar platforms to promote upcoming shows and events, effectively engaging our target audience.
Manage Instagram posting and other social media channels to drive audience engagement, increase brand awareness, and promote venue offerings.
Cultivate a deep interest in the music industry, staying informed about emerging trends, local talent, and opportunities for collaboration.
Exhibit a personable and engaging demeanor, fostering positive relationships with clients, vendors, and performers to enhance the overall guest experience.
Leverage creativity and innovation to develop new strategies for promoting events, increasing attendance, and enhancing the venue's reputation within the community.
Possess an extroverted personality with a positive outlook, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities with ease.
Utilize existing connections within the music and entertainment industry to attract top talent and generate interest in venue offerings.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, with a specialization in event planning or a related field.
Proven experience in a similar role within the music, entertainment, or hospitality industry, with a track record of successful event coordination and management.
In-depth knowledge of the local music scene, including an understanding of popular genres, emerging artists, and key venues.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey information and build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision in all aspects of work.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate event schedules and client requirements.
