This is a direct hire opportunity with a local Birmingham CPA firm that is well established in the community! Full or Part Time openings with some flexible scheduling ability, and hybrid abilities. Salary depending on experience, but full time will range within $40,000-$85,000/yr. Our client is looking for Tax Preparers with public accounting experience preferably, or tax prep experience in general! Their firm is a full-service accounting and consulting firm providing high-quality services for over 35 years. Our industry expertise includes real estate, nursing homes, restaurants and professional service providers. As a mid-size local firm, they are heavily involved in the community and provide a personalized experience to their clients.
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare Individual and business tax return - 1120, 1120S, 1065, 990, 1041
Tax Planning
Assist preparation of financial statements
Assist on audits
Perform accounting processes specific to the area or business unit assigned.
Qualifications:
Public accounting experience preferred
CPA Certification (preferred not required)
Tax prep experience required
Skills & Attributes:
Strong organizational skills and display attention to detail
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
QuickBooks experience preferred
