Status: Full Time, Exempt

Reports to: President and CEO


The Greater Green Bay Chamber is a nonprofit organization which exists to strengthen member businesses by enhancing economic and talent development, resulting in improved quality of life in our community and region. As the second largest Chamber in the state, we are made up of over 1,200 member businesses representing almost 90,000 employees in Greater Green Bay.


The Greater Green Bay Chamber is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our efforts in developing and executing a comprehensive talent and education strategy for our region. The Vice President of Talent and Education will play a critical role in driving economic growth and development by attracting and retaining top talent, developing the workforce of the future, and supporting education initiatives throughout the Greater Green Bay area. In addition, the Vice President of Talent and Education will provide oversight of special events, manage a significant budget, and oversee a department of seven people. A successful candidate will also be responsible for fund development and contributing to large fundraising campaigns.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive talent strategy to attract, retain, and develop a highly skilled and diverse workforce in the Greater Green Bay area.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including businesses, educational institutions, community organizations, and government agencies, to support talent and education initiatives.
  • Work with the Chamber's member businesses to identify talent needs and provide resources to meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with educational institutions to ensure alignment between industry needs and educational offerings, and support initiatives to promote educational excellence in the Greater Green Bay area.
  • Fundraise and contribute to large fundraising campaigns.
  • Oversee a department of five people, providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure that the department's goals and objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with other Chamber departments to ensure that talent and education initiatives are integrated into the Chamber's overall strategy.
  • Manage the Chamber's talent and education budget and report on progress and outcomes to the Chamber's Board of Directors and other stakeholders.


General Responsibilities:

  • Represent the Chamber in the community as a thought leader on issues and participate in community events and initiatives.
  • Keep up to date on talent and education trends and best practices and apply that knowledge to the Chamber's strategy.
  • Serve as a member of the Chamber's senior leadership team, contributing to the overall direction and success of the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned by the President and CEO of the Greater Green Bay Chamber.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, education, or human resources; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of leadership and management experience
  • Experience in talent and education strategy, workforce development, or a related field.
  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including businesses, educational institutions, and government agencies.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful talent and education initiatives.
  • Strong ability to inspire and motivate a team and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and fundraise.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to collaboration and partnership.
