1st shift - 6AM-2:30PM
2nd shift - 2PM-10:30PM -

3rd shift - 10PM-6:30AM -

BASIC RESPONSIBILITY
In addition to the following, employees are responsible for understanding the relevance and importance of the individual's activities in contributing to food safety, and reporting situations that may impact food.

Operate equipment that performs one or more packaging functions such as filling, forming, labeling, wrapping, and or sealing a variety of packaging materials with product, in a manner insuring maximum operating efficiency and conformity to specified standards of quality control..

NATURE AND SCOPE

JOB DUTIES

Regular

  1. Starts machine and observes operation to detect malfunctions of machine.
  2. Form and fill packaging material.
  3. Test samples from lines for quality.
  4. Perform changeovers.
  5. Supplies and replaces packaging materials to assigned equipment.
  6. Makes minor adjustments such as clearing away damaged product containers, removes jams in/on equipment in a safe and prescribed manner.
  7. Palletizes and depalletizes packaging materials, finished product and/or other supplies.
  8. Inspects and records results of product sample testing for quality control to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications.
  9. Replenishes packaging supplies such as product paper, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels.
  10. Records number of units of product packaged and/or records information such as size, weight, and type of products packaged.
  11. Coordinates the activities of employees by advising them of line stops and starts.
  12. Maintains a clean, safe and orderly work area.
  13. Performs equipment cleaning.
  14. Trains additional personnel in job duties.
  15. Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  1. Complies with all government regulations pertaining to Occupational Health and Safety, etc.
  2. ttends start of shift QCD meetings and discuss suggestion and safety issues when appropriate.
  3. Complies with all company rules, policies, procedures, and programs.
  4. ssists in supporting the company's preventative maintenance program.
  5. Maintains company standards for housekeeping in everyday work routine.
  6. Must have completed or must complete Battery Changing, Stacker and Stand Up Truck Training.
  7. Plant GMP/PPE Compliance. Must be able to communicate with Warehouse Service Operators to order Raw Materials to complete frame-ups.
  8. Must be able to communicate needed information to peers, support personnel and Supervisors to assure successful operation.
  9. ccountable for the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) standards as outlined in the plant's QRMP accountability document, including the implementation, improvement and ongoing maintenance


JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  1. ble to read and perform basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  2. Must be able to know and demonstrate tasks and duties of all jobs in Department
  3. General knowledge to qualitatively, and efficiently operate all process Equipment as mentioned above, to include Troubleshooting.
  4. Utilizing proper lifting techniques and personal protective equipment.
  5. The physical skills to successfully meet prescribed work efforts as determined by the Ergonomic Job Analysis for the Job.
  6. bility to communicate verbally and in writing.
  7. Expected to have a thorough understanding of the Operation for all equipment in all departments so that they can lead troubleshooting efforts to minimize downtime and make improvements to equipment as necessary.
  8. bility to occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, and regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  1. Standing, Walking, periodically ascending and descending stairs and ladders, and occasionally lifting.
  2. Continual attention to all equipment while in operation.
  3. Exposed intermittently to every hazard and disagreeable condition in assigned department.

The personal protective equipment described here are representative of those an employee must/might use to successfully perform the functions of this job safely.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to wear company authorized safety shoes; regularly required to use company authorized hearing protection. The employee is frequently required to wear company-authorized safety glasses; frequently required to wear gloves. The employee is occasionally required to use a respirator. Hairnets and beard nets are required.
