I am partnered with a global leading end provider who plan, design, build, and manage data centers, and are also one of the fastest growing companies in the Data Center sector.

Position Overview:

In this role, you will support the delivery project team by managing project-level budgeting and procurement activities. We are seeking an individual who embodies qualities such as humility, curiosity, and a steadfast commitment to adhering to the companies processes and maintaining data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster transparent and proactive communication, identifying and escalating risks and issues that require resolution or mitigation.
  • Collaborate across functions, working closely with Finance and Delivery teams to ensure project alignment with the the companies Program.
  • Contribute to the development of initial project budgets, including the creation of clarification and assumption narratives.
  • Consistently apply the companies processes and tools to conduct bid processes in new markets and progressive buyouts for existing campuses.
  • Take the lead in the bid submission and review process: Ensure General Contractors submit complete bid packages, addressing submission errors when necessary.
  • Evaluate and analyse cost submissions from General Contractors to align their bids and identify discrepancies, duplications, or errors.
  • Negotiate bids with General Contractors as directed, demonstrating assertiveness when required.
  • Assist the Delivery Manager in preparing progressive buyout scope packages for executive leadership team reviews.
  • Generate rough order of magnitude estimates for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Utilize company tools to present comprehensive information on topics requiring executive team decisions and approvals.
  • Collaborate with the Delivery Manager in reviewing new scope packages with General Contractors.
  • Analyse and approve General Contractor change order documentation to ensure the company receives the best price for the correct scope.
  • Participate in creating rough order of magnitude estimates for potential change orders.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Exceptional communication skills when interacting with Executives, Accounting, and Delivery teams. Prioritizing frequent, high-quality, transparent information exchange and issue escalation is paramount.
  • Display discernment and maintain a professional demeanour in all interactions.
  • Comfortable taking a firm stance on behalf of the company during challenging negotiations with General Contractors.
  • Willingness to escalate and collaborate rather than handling problems independently.
  • Strong organizational skills are essential, especially when managing multiple projects in a growing company.
  • A background of 5-7 years in construction budgeting and cost management.
  • Full US Citizen or Green card holder
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
