The Charter Township of Shelby Parks, Recreation and Maintenance Department is now accepting applications for a seasonal/part-time *Chief Gene Shepherd Park Recreation Aide. * Interested applicants must be at least 16 years old and available to work approximately 25-30 hours a week, Monday to Sunday, between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. The hourly wage for this position is $10.41 per hour, no benefitsSome duties associated with this classification include, but are not limited to:Interact with Spray Park and general park attendeesUtilize a computer system to coordinate concessions and daily/annual admission salesHandle monies from concession salesWork effectively with other staff, volunteers and participants of activitiesTrain new hiresMaintain order and enforce rules and regulationsPrepare accurate reportsAssist in overseeing daily Spray Park operationsKeep facilities in a clean and orderly conditionGive information to the public regarding the park and Spray ParkSetup program activities and serve as an on-site assistantStack chairs and set up tables.Lock and secure buildings as necessaryOnly the candidates selected for an interview will be contacted by the Human Resource Department.
