To learn more about Berry, visit berryglobal.comResponsibilitiesPurpose:Perform various functions throughout the various facilities and off-site warehouse location including receiving, delivering materials to/from production areas, shipping, scrap material moves, and misc. supply moves, using different types of forklifts and attachments, in a safe and efficient manner.Responsibilities:Perform all tasks in a safe manner. Comply with OSHA and Hazardous Material regulations pertaining to lift truck operation and material handling and observes plant and departmental safety rules and regulationsPerform forklift inspections and report any issues. Responsible for battery maintenance, charging, changing and filling lift truck battery as neededOperate dock equipment (both manual and automatic) and correct or report any issue identifiedResponsible for warehouse housekeeping including equipment and floor cleanliness, aisle maintenance, and common area appearanceLoad / Unload trailers to receive material, transfer material between warehouses, and ship customer ordersVerify, identify and inspect a wide variety of incoming materials, supplies, and finished goods from operationsPulls, stages and ships customer ordersResponsible for various inventory transaction using barcode scanner and/or computer systemMonitors First In First Out inventory transactionsPrepare and/or assemble required shipping documents.Troubleshoot any material problems including inventory discrepancies, freight damage, contamination, packaging or handling issues.Reports any variances in receiving, material moves to/from production, and shipping transactionsResponsible for quality control no damage product shipped, no damaged raw materials acceptedParticipated in cycle counts as requiredTrain others as requiredOther duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent requiredAt least 2 years manufacturing experience.Must be qualified to operate power industrial trucks and pass internal Forklift License Program.Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License.Positive team oriented attitude and communication skills requiredAbility to multi-task, with little direction while maintaining a high attention to detailPhysical capability to get in and out of a fork truck multiple times per shift, stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 poundsWillingness to learn, ask questions, take initiative and adapt to change when requiredWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
