The front Desk Clerk represents the hotel to the guest throughout all stages of the guest's stay by working with all hotel personnel to ensure every guest experiences superior customer care. responsibilities include registering guests, assigning rooms, accommodating special requests, and ensuring guests have a pleasant stay and smooth checkout. Uphold the company's Mission/Vision/Values.

**QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE**

+ High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

+ Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work with little supervision.

+ Computer aptitude, experience with outlook, office and Maestro a plus.

+ Previous customer service experience required.

+ Ability to communicate with public, hotel staff, and management in a professional manner.

+ Ability to understand and adhere to proper credit, check cashing, and cash handling policies and procedures. Able to properly secure guest information.

+ Ability to learn safety, emergency, and accident prevention policies and procedures.

+ Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods.

+ Able to work a variety of shifts nights, weekends and holidays.

+ Excellent people skills and an energetic personality.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

+ Anticipates and responds to guests in a friendly and positive manner

+ Multi-line phone system.

+ Process check-ins and check-outs, verify billing, create reservations, and process special requests

+ Assists guests by knowing hotel property, local attractions, and hours of operation of hotel outlets and services

+ Drives sales and maximizes revenue by up-selling rooms and amenities

+ Follows company procedures when handling cash and processing financial transactions

+ Resolving guest concerns.

+ Balancing paperwork at shift end.

+ Works as a team player in meeting guests needs, and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments when necessary

+ Working well with coworkers

**ENVIRONMENT:**

This is a fast paced and energetic position. The front desk is the nerve center of the Resort. The vast majority of guest needs are handled there. Multitasking is essential and the ability to deal with several different types of projects at once is also critical. The majority of your shift will take place in the space immediately behind the front desk. The ability to stand on your feet for the majority of your shift in required.
