**Laundry Attendant**
Blowing Rock, NC **Job Summary:**
The Laundry Attendant position is responsible for providing a constant supply of clean linens for the entire hotel including sheets, towels, banquet linens, etc. The Laundry Attendant is also responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary space in the laundry room. You may also be called upon to maintain and sanitize public spaces as needed.
**Duties/Responsibilities:**
* Sort all linens and treat stains.
* Load all laundry into the washer and wash according to standards.
* Minimize inventory loss by spot treating as needed.
* Take wet, clean items and dry as directed.
* Sort and fold or hang clean dried items.
* Maintain inventory of necessary supplies (linens, cleaners, etc.).
* Maintain all laundry equipment and report any maintenance items.
* Walk the premises for any laundry that hasnt been brought to the laundry room, including pool and annex.
* Perform additional laundry services when necessary.
* Ensure laundry room departmental standards and checklists are followed.
* Follow departmental policies and procedures.
* Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
* Sanitize all areas of the laundry room at the end of shift.
* Monitor cleaning supplies and alert supervisors as the supply gets low.
* Assist with housekeeping duties as needed.
* Maintains a friendly and professional attitude when interacting with guests and fellow staff members.
* Performs other duties as assigned. The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

* Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitation procedures

* Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
**Education and Experience:**
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Hotel laundry or related experience preferred
**Physical Requirements:**
* Able to stand for prolonged periods
* Able to climb ladders
* Able to climb stairs
* Able to walk hallways and perimeter of property
* Able to twist, bend, reach and pull
* Able to lift up to 50 pounds
