Merchology seeks a Direct to Film (DTF) Print Operator for our Production team. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Direct to Film (DTF) Print Operator is a critical role that will be responsible for the Direct to Film digital printing processes to provide an outstanding decoration option for our customers.

A successful Print Operator will:

  • Operate DTF equipment in a consistent and careful manner observing all safety measures to protect personal health, inventory, and company assets.
  • Create print jobs from Work Order/Sample artwork files into efficient, high quality print runs based on color, size, and quantity required.
  • Produce the required Work Order specific and sample DTF images with required quality, cost, and speed.
  • Use time management skills to assure imprint films for other locations are printed and packaged for daily site shipments.
  • Press logos to garments with application team using automated heat press equipment.
  • Daily maintenance, set up and shut down for printing equipment systems properly for optimum performance and longevity.
  • Test and validate consumables: inks, films, and powders to assure proper application parameters on various substrates for quality and durability.
  • Support staff applying imprint films with application parameter updates and troubleshooting of product/image specific issues.
  • Take ownership of the DTF printing room by keeping it clean, organized, and in tour ready condition.


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Digital Graphics experience
  • Experience in DTF or other printing process preferred
  • Excellent computer skills - able to master multiple applications and utilize several at once to perform key job functions
  • Ability to identify colors and shades and see fine details, utilize magnification as required
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and accurate
  • Ability to stand for 5-8 hours per day
  • Positive and collaborate attitude
  • Ability to repeatedly lift 40 pounds
  • Technical aptitude - comfortable and industrial process machine operation and maintenance
