JOB DESCRIPTION
PWS International is seeking skilled CNC Machinists with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our Charlotte NC team. The ideal candidate should have a background in CNC machining with the ability to load, operate, time track, and ensure quality control of fabricated parts throughout daily production.
WHAT YOU LL DO
Read and interpret architectural part drawings.
Operate and Elumatec SBZ-151 profiling machine for production of extruded aluminum parts.
Load raw materials into CNC machines and monitor production progress.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve processes and production efficiency.
Obtain proper part mounting procedures for production.
Monitor machine performance, report any discrepancies, and recommend maintenance or repairs as needed.
Perform machine setups, including tool changes and offsets adjustments.
Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Complete preventative maintenance procedures for machines.
Maintain accurate production records, including logs of machine maintenance and repair activities.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including quality control and safety guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
Proven minimum 2 years experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in operating CNC machines (e.g., milling, turning, grinding, or drilling).
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues effectively.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Knowledge of metric measuring system
Ability to keep an organized workspace.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed. (50+ lbs on a regular basis.
Standing for extended periods of time.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
