Job Summary:
Blue Ridge Automation Inc. is currently seeking Automation Engineers/PLC Programmers. Qualified candidates will have hands-on systems integration experience, specifically PLC and HMI programming and configuration, field work, troubleshooting, as well as start-up and commissioning experience. Experience in the food and beverage industry may benefit applicants.
Direct hire positions are currently available in Phoenix. Positions are on-site at customer location for project and start-up work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLC), human machine interfaces (HMI), batching systems, and other supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) software
- Provide field troubleshooting, start-up and commissioning support
- Perform complex problem-solving tasks that involve reviewing information, actively detecting problems, developing, and evaluating options, selecting, and implementing the best solutions
- Manage workloads and meet project benchmarks communicating progress both internally and externally.

- PLC Programming Proficiency; Preferable Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix & Compactlogix) RS-Logix
5000, (SLC 500) RS-Logix 500
- Industrial Communications
- HMI Proficiency Factory TalkView SE & Wonderware Preferred
- Liquid Process Experience Preferred
- VFD Experience (Variable Frequency Drives)
- AS/BS Degree in Engineering Preferred or Documented Experience
