Job Details
The Accounting Professional is responsible for reviewing sales tax filings and supporting detail for all states, is an administrator for all tax accounts, and ensures sales and sales tax reconciled and agreed to monthly sales tax recs. The position reviews and responds to tax authority letters, provides financial and tax audit support, and assists in estimated state/Fed tax payments. The role also completes a wide range financial reports and ensures all GL postings for all entities are routed to correct GL accounts. The position handles day-to-day, and month end close functions for Monoflo International and other related entities bookkeeping and reconciliations and responsible for various costing accounting functions. Ensures all month-end related tasks are being completed timely.
Education or Equivalent:
A bachelor's degree in accounting or at least 4 years of equivalent experience in the accounting field.
Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
In depth knowledge of sales tax, tax compliance reporting, tax preparation, enterprise tax software, knowledge of accounting, basic financial statements, GAAP standards, accounting software, account reconciliation, balance sheet analysis, financial accounting, general ledger accounting, month-end close, revenue recognition, year-end close, costing, cost accounting, cost estimation, product costing. The individual must be detailed oriented, have strong analytical abilities as well as excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently, help push projects forward and meet deadlines consistently. Also, be proficient in MS Excel.
