Job Description

Supporting pharmacological services by assembling, stocking and distributing medications. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Re-stocking and/or ordering of PPE, dispensing supplies (syringes, needles, etc.)
  • Preforming inventory of pharmacy supplies and IP; inform RPH of needs so that they can be ordered appropriately
  • Preparing IP, placebo, and medications for RPH to verify before it is dispensed
  • Administration of IP to subjects
  • Maintaining records by recording and preparing IP as directed per protocol, and completing the required documentation and source documents
  • The required documentation will be completed to its fullest, 100% of the time. Any errors will be corrected by the appropriate person(s), and action will be taken to prevent the recurrence of such errors.
  • Sorting, stocking and labeling medications and monitoring inventory
  • Responding to the requests of healthcare providers (nurses, investigators), answering their questions and referring various inquiries to the Pharmacist as needed
  • Complying with rules, regulations and procedures to help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy, such as by sterilizing equipment and surfaces
  • Work areas will be kept clean at all times
  • Processing study orders and ensuring all information is accurate and complete
  • Taking initiative to help ensure an efficient, functional pharmacy environment
  • Being the second verification step when needed
  • Comply with HIPAA, OSHA, Sterile Technique, and USP at all times
  • Working with others to function as a team
  • Monitoring temperatures of refrigerators and freezers
