As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our sourcing processes and driving value engineering initiatives to enhance the competitiveness of our products in the market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and project management, with a proven track record of implementing successful VA/VE initiatives.


What you will be doing as a Strategic Sourcing Manager:

Lead workshops to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvement, and performance enhancement across product lines.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to implement VA/VE recommendations effectively.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize product designs, materials, and manufacturing processes while maintaining product integrity and customer satisfaction.

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on cost, quality, capacity, and capability to support VA/VE objectives.

Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and performance improvements while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.

Monitor supplier performance metrics, including quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness, to drive accountability and continuous improvement.

Address supplier issues and challenges proactively, working closely with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and mitigate risks.

Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and quality standards.

Analyze cost drivers and trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction and value enhancement.

Prepare and present regular reports and presentations to senior management, highlighting the impact of VA/VE initiatives on the company's bottom line and competitive position.


What you will need as Strategic Sourcing Manager:

Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field is required.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on value analysis/engineering.

Proven track record of successfully leading VA/VE initiatives and achieving significant cost savings and performance improvements.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and identify opportunities for improvement.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive cross-functional collaboration.

Knowledge of quality management systems, lean manufacturing principles, and supplier development methodologies.

Ability to travel 25% plus in your first year to customer sites.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ERP systems; experience with supply chain management software is a plus.
