PROCUREMENT ANALYST/BUYER

The Procurement Analyst/Buyer researches, evaluates, purchases materials, and manages repairs in support of current contracts and bid opportunities. These tasks include coordination with vendors, managing/maintaining the supplier base, and anticipating supply chain events in an effort to consistently meet product or service requirements.

Essential Duties of the Position

  • Prepares costing and/or pricing proposals in support of current contracts, bids, and new contract pursuits
  • Assist in the strategic pricing or costing elements in support of new pursuits and existing contract change proposals
  • Formulate and maintain supporting data for bid submissions and reviews
  • Assist with costing research for different projects
  • Maintain accurate pricing files and data in support of existing and new contracts
  • Support analysis as needed for financial review and pricing submissions
  • Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, to all levels of staff and management, outside officials and agencies
  • Bid submission and purchase order support
  • Coordination with vendors, supply chain, and delivery for products or services
  • Support and document the administrative functions for bid submission and PO execution
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Must possess excellent written and oral communication and analytical skills. Must possess ability to administer several projects independently and concurrently, with ongoing changes in priority. Must possess ability to think independently and work effectively. Must possess strong P/C computer skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel experience. Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent is preferred. Preferable experience includes: 1 - 3 years of experience in costing, estimating, or finance; DCAA, DCMA, or other government pricing/costing; government contract bid submissions; pricing contracts covered by the Service Contract Act; and ISO 9001 compliance requirements.
