C.E Gleeson Constructors, Inc. is a national General Contractor and Construction Management firm, headquartered in Troy, Mi with offices in Texas, North Carolina, and Florida. C.E. Gleeson is seeking a construction senior estimator to join our construction team. As a senior estimator, you will be responsible for calculating major construction cost estimates, and you will be involved in the planning, development, negotiation, and contract execution of a project. Experience with Retail/Industrial/Office/Multi-Family/Assisted Living Care. Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience.
Location: We are looking for a candidate to work full time out of our Troy, Michigan headquarters office or our Southeast Office in Charlotte, NC.
Salary Based on experience.
Senior Estimator Responsibilities:
- Strong knowledge of all aspects of Construction activities including; Scheduling, Design, Permitting, Bidding, Estimating, Contracting, Job Costing, and Construction Management.
- Proficiency of Quantity Take Software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, exceptional communication, negotiation, and analytical skills required.
- An estimator must be highly organized and detail oriented and capable of handling multiple projects at one time.
- Presentation, oral and written communication skills to address and inform clients, associates, and vendors of varying levels.
- An estimator must have the ability to build positive and sustainable relationships with peers, subordinates, and vendors.
- Candidate must be a self-motivated individual.
Senior Estimator Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil or architectural engineering, construction management, or an equivalent degree. However skilled individuals with great experience and a track record to match are encouraged to apply.
- Extensive experience as an estimator in the construction field within Retail/Industrial/Commercial Sectors
- Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven successful track record of leading client relationship development activities as an Estimator.
- In-depth experience working through the negotiated and hard bid process.
- 10 years of hard bid estimating
- Ability to operate and learn various computer software programs.
- Takes Ownership and Initiative, Team Builder and Team Player
- Ability to multi-task, quickly solve problems.
