Our Cooks are an integral part of the Dining Services team, helping ensure our residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals. Our Cooks:

Prepare assigned stations for shift.
Under direction of the chef, prepare individual components of various entrees and food items, adhering to the individual dietary restrictions of residents.
Batch cooking from scratch and line cooking.
Maintain kitchen food safety and sanitary food handling in compliance with State, Federal, and local regulations.
Complete other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed!

Minimum 1-2 years as a full-service restaurant cook/lead cook. Prefer experience in a healthcare facility.
Ability to prepare high quality food for our residents, Able to work alternating holidays and pre-planned events.
Maintain professional relationships with food and equipment venders.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with staff and external constituents.
Able to prepare therapeutic/modified diets.
Able to work 10:30am - 7pm, every other weekend and alternating holidays.

Physical Requirements

The ability to push/pull/carry up to 30lbs
